Vilamoura is a lovely city in Southern Portugal, precisely in the Algarve Region. It is the ideal location for golf, tennis and nature lovers. We suggest the Anantara hotel during your stay in Vilamoura to enjoy a luxurious and peaceful vacation.

You can discover the beautiful Algarve Region while staying at the Anantara hotel, which is a peaceful retreat located on a lush golf course. This hotel has 5 pools, one tennis court and champagne cabanas. There are also renowned activity clubs for children and teens. You can relax in the beautiful spa which includes pools, a sauna, a hammam and other spa treatments.

This establishment has authentic and creative restaurants. You can eat on outdoor terraces overlooking the golf course and the pools. Emo restaurant has a wine list that is acknowledged by Wine Spectator. It offers 350 carefully selected wines. The restaurant serves a contemporary Portuguese cuisine. During our stay, we were warmly welcomed by the sommelier who opened a very special bottle for the occasion : a 1990 vintage! You’ll also have access to the Marina’s beach club, the Purobeach Vilamoura. Over there, you can drink cocktails, listen to the DJ’s music and eat a delicious meal. Emo’s wine boutique also offers wine tasting workshops. You can also attend Portuguese cooking classes, but you should reserve at least 24h in advance.

Anantara hotel is located a few kilometers from the Ria Formosa, a earthly paradise for many species of birds and fish. You can walk through this natural park and observe the beautiful view during many hours!

The hotel is near some beaches, a marina and Vilamoura’s glamorous nightlife. The establishment offers the possibility to discover its surroundings with a guided tour named “Flavours of Algarve” which combines nature and gastronomy. You can also do an animated cruise to discover the different ecosystems on the islands of the Ria Formosa. A unique trip in hot air balloon is also available. In addition, a guided tour of Loulé, the arts and craft capital of Algarve, can be planned to visit a medieval castle and its ruins.

Claudia Ferreira and Portugal Gourmand’s web serie crew had the opportunity to stay two nights in this paradise. Thank you to our partner and sponsor, Anantara Vilamoura hotel, for this excellent experience!
